**Indian Newspaper Published Results of Detoxing Method**

**Indian Newspaper Published Results of Detoxing Method**

There have been a few published studies on the effectiveness of methods like Coconut Therapy.  In 1996, after a continuous publication of a regular column for three years in their Sunday edition, Andhra Jyoti, a Telugu daily newspaper, conducted a survey to find out the types of diseases cured and the effectiveness of this detox method. Out of a total of 1,040 respondents, 927 (89%) reported a cure of one or more diseases. Only 114, or 11%, reported no significant improvements.
The analysis indicated the following types of chronic diseases were cured by a coconut oil therapy:

  • Pains in the body and problems pertaining to neck and above - 758 cases.
  •  Allergy and respiratory problems of lungs like asthma, bronchitis, etc. - 191 cases.
  • Skin problems like pigmentation, itching, scars, black patches, and eczema, etc. - 171 cases.
  • Digestive system - 155 cases.

  • Constipation - 110 cases.

  • Arthritis and joint pains - 91 cases.

  • Heart disease and B.P. - 74 cases.

  • Diabetes - 56 cases.

  • Piles - 27 cases.

  • Diseases pertaining to female reproductive system reported by women - 21 cases.

  • Diseases like Polio, Cancer, Leprosy, Polycystic Kidney, Neural Fibroma, Paralysis, etc. - 72 cases.

As you look at the responses, please keep in mind those conditions that are most prevalent in the population indicate the greatest number of cures. Those conditions that are less common, like diabetes and cancer, show fewer cures because there are fewer people who have these conditions. It is interesting that the terminology of the survey stated complete cures and not just improvement. This survey provides strong evidence for the effectiveness of the therapy.

    Additional Studies

    Pioneer Match Industries Study

In 2005 Pioneer Match Industries in Tamil Nadu, India conducted a study on oil therapy involving the female employees in their factory.  144 females completed the survey. Oil therapy and its benefits were explained to the employees. They were given oil, and told to use it daily on an empty stomach. It was used once each morning before breakfast. After 25 days the women reported their results. They did not list their ailments but rated the effectiveness of the treatment in relieving symptoms associated with any health problem or concern they had. Each rated their results in one of four categories--very good, good, average, or no effect.

93% or a total of 137 indicated some improvement.
56% or 81 workers indicated good or very good results.
     Only 5% indicated no benefits.
This study corresponds well with the Aldraha Jyoty study where there were 89% who indicated improvement and 11% with no noticeable improvement.

    KLES Institute Study

The first study to appear in a Scientific Journal on the effects of oil therapy was published by the Journal of Oral Health and Community Dentistry. Dr. H.V. Amith and colleagues at the Department of Preventative and Community Dentistry at the Ikles Institute of Dental Sciences in Belgiaum, India conducted this study. Their objective was to assess the effect of oil therapy on plaque and gingivitis and to monitor its safety on the teeth and gums. This study is important because it provides a direct link between oil therapy and systemic disease.  If it has effect, this is direct evidence that oil therapy can affect systemic conditions caused by oral infections.

Ten subjects were picked at the University who had mild to moderate gingivitis with plaque accumulation and were not using any medications. They were instructed to use oil therapy each morning for 45 days. Plaque formation was significantly reduced with most of the reduction coming during the later half of the study, indicating the longer you use the treatment the better. The researchers rated the changes as highly significant and proved that oil therapy has dental benefits.
There are also studies from researches at Meenakshi Ammal Dental College in Chenna, India along with studies performed at V.H.N.S.N. College in Virudhunagtary India.

**Tooth brushing reduces plaque by 11-27% and Gingivitis by 35%.
** Mouthwash has shown to reduce plaque by 20-26% and Gingivitis by 8-23%.
** Coconut Therapy method of detox beats them both and data from this study shows that this detox method reduced plaque by 18-30% and Gingivitis by an amazing 52- 60%.
